Our itinerary is complete


We are touring with OCDF, staying with the group until we go to Nanchang.

July 7 Arrive in Beijing at 3:00 PM. Meet with group at 6:00 PM.

July 8 Visit the open-air Panjiayuan Market, Temple of Heaven and the Forbidden City.

July 9 Morning visit to 2008 Olympic Green to see Sports Venues, tour the Summer Palace and Kunming Lake. Afternoon travel to Great Wall at Badaling. Evening: Peking Acrobats.

July 10 Morning to Beijing Huiling for music and crafts. Afternoon Hutong (a small neighborhood built around a courtyard). Tour with visit to local family and elementary school. Overnight sleeper train to Xi’an.

July 11 Arrive in Xi’an. See the Muslim Mosque and Market, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Art Institute for a hands-on calligraphy and painting lesson.

July 12 Tour of the Qin Emperor’s Terra Cotta Warriors. Might be able to bike around the border of the old town on the city wall.

July 13 Flight to Nanchang in Jiangxi Province.

July 14 – 16 Reunion at Nanchang SWI, when we hope to see Alana's foster parents and staff in the orphanage where she spent most of her time.

July 17 Lu Shan Mountain, just outside of Nanchang. A scenic, cool place to get out of the heat. Former communist party leaders, like Mao, had summer homes here.

July 18 Lu Shan.

July 19 Flight to Chongqing, and board our ship for the Yangtze River Cruise.

July 20 - 22 On the cruise. Flight to Shanghai. We might be able to ride the new high speed Maglev train from the airport.

July 23 - 24 Tour Shanghai.

July 25 Flight home.
